Meet the team

James graduated from university of Wales College of Medicine Cardiff in 1996. He completed his vocational training in Swansea spending some time in the oral surgery department Morriston.

He has worked in the practice since 1997 and owned it since 2000.

He lives locally and enjoys running, having completed 5 marathons as well as a variety of triathlons.

When not in work and training, his family and two dogs keep him busy.

I qualified from Cardiff University in 1995. I am the joint practice owner along with my Husband James Beynon. I have worked here at Beynon’s Dental Surgery for 24 years. I really enjoy treating families and doing general dentistry. Outside of work I like to go on dog walks, take part in cold water dipping and spend time with my children.

Dr Emma qualified as a dentist from The University of Bristol in 2013. After graduation and completion of her vocational training she returned to her home town of Bridgend to practice dentistry.
Dr Emma began developing her clinical skills with NHS work in general practice and quickly realised she had a passion to give the best care and comfort to her patients. She believes in only recommending treatment which is absolutely necessary and, in the patients’, best interests and prides herself in offering the level of service she would like to receive. As her experience progressed, she advanced to mixed NHS and private dentistry and has developed a passion for cosmetic dentistry.  She excels in helping patients who want to improve their smiles. She has a friendly and understanding approach towards her patients.
Over the years. Dr Emma has attended many restorative and cosmetic dental courses to widen her skill set and she enjoys providing Invisalign and composite bonding treatments. She is also professionally trained in advanced wrinkle correction and dermal filler procedures and has trained under the world-renowned Prof Bob Khanna. Dr Emma enjoys using anti wrinkle injections and dermal fillers to provide her patients with beautiful and natural looking results. Dr Emma is committed to continuing her dental education; she will shortly continue her diploma in cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry with the award-winning Dr Monik Vasant.
Outside of work Dr Emma enjoys long walks with her husband Rhys and their dog Spennie along the local beach in Ogmore where they plan their next travelling adventures.

David Roberts was born and grew up in Cardiff. At 18, he moved to Liverpool to do his undergraduate degree in biomedical science and later moved to Lancashire to study dentistry.

On completion of his studies, he moved back to Wales and after a few years working in the valleys, joined us at Beynon’s in early 2019. His areas of interest is dental extractions, and is currently looking into areas to specialise.

Outside of work, David is a keen gym enthusiast and has an interest in scale miniature painting.

Abby qualified from Cardiff University in 2011.

Abby loves all aspects of general dentistry, but has a special interest in ABC smile makeovers (Align, Brighten, Contour), with training from Invisalign, C-Fast and QST systems.

Her facial aesthetics journey started back in 2016, and has since expanded to include anti-wrinkle injections, Polynucleotides and Skin Boosters.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling and in the gym.
